Moving Regulations - Ukraine

Australians who apply for permanent residence in Ukraine should lodge to the Embassy of Ukraine the following documents:

• a written request wherein you formally declare your intention to apply for permanent residence in Ukraine (here you must explain your reasons for permanent residence);
• a copy of Australian passport;
• 3 passport-size photos;
• police clearance issued by the Australian authorities (criminal record certificate);
• an application form duly signed and dated;
• information on family members, a copy of marriage certificate (if a person is married).
• medical reference certifying that the person is not ill with infectious diseases, chronic alcoholism, drugs predilection or toxic predilection;
• the document about place of residence of the applicant.

The Consular Office has full authority to evaluate and request more documents if needed. The applicants should apply in person and they are also subject to an interview. All documents issued in Australia should have an apostille stamp put at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia. A consular fee for processing an applicant's request for permanent residence has to be made by a money order payable to the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia. The sum is not refundable in the case if an applicant's request to enter Ukraine for permanent residence is denied.
