Moving Regulations - Turkey

If you plan to relocate to Turkey and move your stuff with you, you need the following documents:

• passport with valid entry stamps;
• work visa (not valid for retired people);
• work permit (not valid for retired people);
• residence permit;
• tax I.D  Card (will be obtained from Tax office in Turkey);
• a copy of Deed (TAPU) or a copy of rental contract;
• addresses in Residence Permit  must be same in Deed (TAPU) or Rental Contract;
• household goods must arrive within two months before or six months after the customer’s passport is stamped for entry into Turkey and the customer is to be present at the Customs Office during the customs formalities;
• used household goods and personal belongings are allowed for import only if they are for customer’s own use;
• inventory written in English (showing brand names and serial number’s of electrical appliances).

Please, take into account that TV, VCR, HIFI, RADIO, AUTO RADIO, VIDEO CAMERA, TV SATELLITE RECEIVER- DVD RECORDER are subject to Bandrol Tax. The customer has to deposit or to give a bank guarantee to Turkish Customs  for his/her household  goods. During the inspection Turkish Customs commission will determine this deposit by checking the inventories and items. The part of this deposit is going to be received by client at the end of 5 years.
