Moving Regulations - Syria

To apply for 1 year residency in Syria, applicants should provide:

• a valid passport assport;
• 5 personal photos;
• lease of a residence in Syria legalised by the city council;
• HIV test;
• approval from the Department of Labour and Social Affairs;
• visit to Department of Immigration / Residency Section in one of the main Syrian cities or in the Capital, Damascus.

After 1 year your residence permit may be extended.

If you want to move your furniture to Syria from Australia, you should do the following:
• fill out the residency termination form in which you show your wish to terminate your residency in Australia and to move your furniture to Syria;
• fill out a declaration form of furniture ownership;
• provide a written pledge to reside permanently in Syria;
• provide a list of the detailed furniture with their specifications in Arabic and English, legalised by the Department of the Foreign Affairs and Trade in the state;
• a document from the Australian Department of Immigration that shows the date of the first entry to Australia, translated and legalised by the Department of the Foreign Affairs and Trade;
• send a self-addressed envelope with stamps;
• all fees should be sent as one money order addressed to the Syrian Embassy;
