Moving Regulations - Spain

Australians wishing to remain in Spain must in all cases apply for a long-term visa. Resident's visa allows the holder to reside in Spain without undertaking any type of work or professional activity. Work and resident's visa permits the holder to undertake work or professional activity, either for third parties or on his or her own behalf. The visa is requested and issued in the Spanish diplomatic missions and consular offices.

The Spanish Government supports immigrants by helping them to apply for their visas. To enter Spain, the applicant must have complete documents required by the government such as a valid passport, evidence of financial funds and "2 x 2" recent photos. They must also be of legal and proper age to complete the signed application form.

Spain Work Permit
An authorization of the Spanish immigration suggests that non-European nationals who want to work in Spain must obtain either a worker or a self-employed capacity. The work permit has to be accompanied by a residence or visitor permit and documents that can show  the permit's validity in occupational area. Work permits have to be acquired from the regional office of the Ministry of Labor or to the Foreigners' Office in case the applicants are already in Spain. In the case if the candidates are in Australia, work permits should be obtained there.
